Videoviolence
Single channel video 11.30 min. 1997
Regarding
the video- and audio footage ‘Videoviolence’
makes use of the apparently endless amount of fictitious violence available on public
television
channels worldwide. Violence in which the human
body is maltreated as an anonymous object. Some hundreds of fragments
are joined together and reproduced in a rigid structuralised way.
A
constant rhythmic repetition of violent actions slowly changes by
means of cross-fades.
