‘Sound
& Vision’ 1993 For the travelling exhibition ‘Sound
& Vision’, ICA-Amsterdam has invited 22 artists. For each artist a
telephone-booth has been made available, to be used as the container of the
work. Through the year 1993 these boxes have been placed in public space in
10 different city's in the Netherlands. Peter Bogers has put a small monitor
inside a box which shows images based on the videowork ‘Nature I’. The soundtrack consists of a
rhythmic succession of sound-outbursts (human voice), ranging from load
laughing to more intense and violent sound-explosions. A small
digital dispay, placed on top of the telephone counts the exact lenght of
each sound-outburst. |
